Happy Monday!

He's been redecorating.

Luke is very artistic.  Don't ask me where he gets this characteristic. He will sit and color for hours.  Whenever I pick Luke up from Sunday School or preschool I have always been able to tell which picture or project is his.  It's always the one that is completely colored inside the lines or has an even amount of glitter on all sides.  This was true today when there happened to be more than one Luke in his Sunday School class. 

Lately though, Luke has been doing some redecorating in our bedroom.  Tonight I walked into our room and this is what I found taped above my bed.  The best part was when I got close, I could see that he had used between 5-6 pieces of tape for each picture.  I wonder if I have any left to wrap presents?

Even Cali our dog has some new artwork above her bed. Luke posted this a couple weeks ago.  I don't know if I will have the heart to take these down. 

Santa

 

We ventured to the Galleria this morning to see Santa since we are off work this week and to do it before the crowds arrive. This Santa was great.  He was very kind and truly interested in everything Luke had to say.  SInce there wasn't anyone in line, Luke talked to him for about 10 minutes.  Luke told Santa that he wants a clone trooper helmet and an Angels hat.  Reagan said she didn't know what she wanted.  Luke told Santa that Reagan really needs a bike because she rides his old one and it's a boys bike.
 

Ahhh.... a week off from work/school.

We are off this week and I must say that this break is much needed.  The last week of work was super long with 33 conferences.  Now I'm home with my kiddos.  Luke has been keeping Brad very busy around the house.  Together they have been planning the Christmas light display.  Every year we get a little closer to the actual "Clark W. Grizzwald house."   Me, I am enjoying a quiet house and ignoring my to do list a few more days. 

Time for this again! Get ready girls!

My Runnin Men!

Today Brad and Luke both ran in the Mission Inn Race.  Brad ran the half marathon and Luke ran his very first race, the half K.  Brad has been working with Luke trying to get him prepared for today; explaining to him that there are going to be bigger kids racing with him who will be faster; that he shouldn't worry about the other kids; that he is going to to get tired and want to stop, but you just have to keep going.  After most of these conversations with Luke he would ask, "Do I get a medal like daddy?"  He was very excited to get a t-shirt,his own numbered bib, and a medal, all like daddy. 

Brad had a great race. We were so excited to see him turn the corner onto Mission Inn and through the finish line.  Luke and Reagan were both cheering.  Luke actually took the first picture below because I was busy trying to run the video camera and hoping Reagan wasn't about to run after Brad.  Hopefully I can get some videos up soon.  So proud of them!

Luke won 1st place out of all 4 year olds and won 26th place out of 121 kids who ranged from 4 years old to 7 years old.  So cool!

 

Hapy Halloween!

On Friday, Luke and Reagan had their Halloween parades at school.  Here are some pictures.  After the parade, they had class parties.  The only thing Luke cared about was that he was being picked up early and got to come home with mom and dad.  He wasn't much into the party. 

 

On Halloween, we had some friends and family over to watch the mayhem.  Our neighborhood gets pretty crazy.  We must get over 1000 kids.  Some families on our street put up a haunted house across 4 houses, so it attracks lots of people.  Usually we are out of candy at 8:00pm.  This year we beat our record and lasted until 8:30.  My mom and my sister brought lots of candy to help.  Luke had so much fun.  I didn't get many pics of him beacuse he was running around all night with his cousins.  Everytime I looked at him he was laughing hysterically or giggling over something.  They weren't much into the trick-or-treating.  After about 6 houses they were ready to come home.  They just had fun watching all the people and playing.  It was a great night and best of all, the kids had a blast! 
 

 

 

Pumpkin Patch

We ventured out tonight to the local pumpkin patch.  Okay not really a patch, but more like a bounce-house city that costs a fortune in tickets, with lots of sweaty kids and an astrnomical amount of germs. My munchkins were exhausted!  They bounced their little hearts out!  They had so much fun.

 

 
 
 
 
 

Spiders

 

Last friday night we watched Charlotte's Web for movie night.  Luke and Reagan loved it!  Reagan laughed every time Wilbur tried to escape.  Charlotte and Wilbur were a hit.  However,  Monday at preschool Reagan woke up from her nap freaking out about a spider on her nap mat.  Her teachers said that she was inconsolable and completely hysterical.  They could not calm her down until daddy came to pick her up.  Poor girl must have been dreaming about spiders.

Last night, Luke told Brad that he saw a spider on the wall. Reagan heard this and went into hysterics again.  She screamed so loud and just wanted to be held.  Her legs held a tight grip around my waist.  Anytime I tried to put her down, she would do all she could to stay off the carpet.  It took us a good 30 minutes to get her mind off the spider.  We kept telling her that spiders are so nice and sweet like Charlotte. As for now, we just remind her that the spider is outside in the trash. If she has a phobia against bugs, we are in for it on Halloween as she is supposed to dress up as a ladybug.
